I removed some of the comments made because I thought they were rude and uncalled for, I left links because that’s the fair thing to do, but I’m not going support your nasty words on my page. I not only cried when I saw the picture, but reading the article made me bawl. This man is an inspiration to everyone and I honestly feel like these men - the ones who came back looking like someone else, the ones who really did give it all up for our Country, those are the ones who deserve the most recognition.

I am crying. Not like a few tears, but in a ‘I curled up on my bed and cried for 15 minutes’ kind of way. I am so afraid that all of these things will happen to my big brother, someone I love and adore. When you see pictures and stories like these all you can think is if it can happen to them then it can happen to your someone who’s fighting ridiculous battles for this country.

I have a problem with marriage. I have a problem with the whole institution. There I said. You know what my big problem is? People don’t realize what it means anymore. We refuse to let people get married and then we throw ours away like it meant nothing. Sure, sure, you tried to work it out, you had differences. I get. Sometimes situations are too bad, I understand that. If you’re being hurt and lied to, you want out. That’s understandable, but to say “Oh we’re in different places!” is the most ridiculous thing I could ever hear. You’ll be in different places your entire life. Look at who you are now, in ten years you’re going to be a very different person. If you’re married, be prepared. She should have known they were going to be two very different people than they were high school. Had he gone to college and become an engineer, they would have been two different people, but he went to war. He went through one of the most traumatic experiences anyone can ever go through. He isn’t going to come back the same person, you should have realized that before you said a vow that is sacred. You should have realized that maybe it was going to be too much pressure and too much to handle. I’m not saying she’s at fault, what I’m saying is people are hardly the same person as they were ten years ago. When you go through something like that it’s even more of a drastic change. You said ‘till death do you part and, frankly, you should mean it. I applaud him for not being bitter or angry. Had some girl done that to my brother I would have ripped her head off (note: I can recall twice in my life where I have been angry enough to want to physically hurt someone, please keep this in mind for the next paragraph), end of story. But, hey, I’m very protective of my brothers.

This is for you Anthony, whoever you are:

I’m sure you’ve heard this all before, but you deserve to hear my little rant on your lack of feelings. You, sir, are a cunt. You deserved to have the shit beat out of you. Those men go through something you can’t even begin to imagine, (unless you’ve been there yourself, and if you have, feel free to enlighten us on how you came out to be such a fucking ray of sunshine) and to mock it is sick. I’m probably not the first person that has felt the need to beat the shit out of you and I probably won’t be the last. You need to grow the fuck up and learn some goddamned respect.

That goes for anyone mocking this. You are fucking cowards hiding behind a stupid computer screen.

To All Of You: Whatever your stance may be on what our Armed Forces are doing over seas, you should always respect the soldiers. They didn’t ask for this. Some of them don’t want to be there. Some of their loved ones don’t want them there. SOME OF THEM JOINED BEFORE ALL OF THIS MESS STARTED. SOME OF US HAVE NIGHTMARES THAT THIS SORT OF THING WILL HAPPEN TO THE PEOPLE THEY LOVE.

Now that I have touched on a wide variety of subjects, I am going to remove myself from the internets for a while, because I have the strong urge to throw my computer. Good day.

This is the saddest thing that I have seen in a while. These men risk their lives everyday for our country. They don’t ask for any of this and each and every one of them should be respected.
